Thank you for choosing to look at Barfield School.
Entry, which can be at any time during the academic year, is subject to a preliminary assessment visit for your child at the appropriate age level as well as a space being available for them in their year group
Barfield is an inclusive school that welcomes children from all backgrounds and abilities. All applications will be treated on merit and in a sensitive manner
In the Nursery, children start at the age of two, attending a minimum of three of the ten available sessions. They can build these up to full time as they gain confidence.
The normal procedure is for parents to attend an Open Morning or arrange to visit the school and meet the Headmaster during term time when the school is in action. This is followed by the completion of the registration form which should be sent to the School with the registration fee.
All children are invited for a "taster" morning before joining in order for them to be assessed. Reports are also requested from a child’s current school if appropriate.
Following the assessment, places will be offered to prospective parents and a confirmation fee will be requested to confirm a child’s place.
