Barfield Bolt
Welcome to the 3rd Barfield Bolt 2nd June 2013
The increasingly popular Barfield Bolt is a fun run for everyone; whether you are an experienced runner or a beginner, aged 1 or 91. The day has a unique friendly and family atmosphere with races for both adults and children.
The Bolt offers a 10k and 5k race for adults (14+ years) through attractive Surrey woodland and paths, starting and finishing at Barfield School. The 10k is twice the circular route. You can enter as an individual or as a team.
For all the children and young athletes there is the 2k race for 8 – 13 years, and 1k for 5 – 7 years with a 60m dash for the little ones.
There will be a BBQ, beer tent, ice creams, refreshments, teas, coffee and cakes on sale during the day, plus childrens entertainment and our sponsors' stalls.
The event will commence at 10.00am with a warm up before the 10k and 5k races starting at 10.30am with the childrens races starting at 12.00pm.
The Barfield Bolt is a fundraising event collecting money towards The Barfield Owl Fund. This year we are linking with a very special small and local charity called Change of Scene, http://www.changeofscene.org.uk/. 20% of your booking fee will go to Change of Scene along with all sponsorship money raised.
