2009 saw the celebration of 75 years of education at Barfield School. Over 400 people, past and present pupils, parents and teachers met in May for a wonderful trip down memory lane. Activities included past v present cricket, netball and football matches, songs by the school choir and the planting of a magnolia tree donated by Mrs Susan Warburton, wife of former Headmaster David Warburton. Joining in the celebrations were Mrs Lucinda Fleming (Mayor of Farnham and former Barfield parent), Mr Ross Duncan (former Barfield pupil, 1952 to 1991), Jeremy Hunt MP, Mr Arthur Bone (former Senior Master) and Mrs Gillian Beel (former Mayor of Farnham and Barfield grandmother).
