The PSA is made up of a group of friendly volunteer parents and staff. The PSA organises enjoyable social events and raises funds for the School. Committee meetings are held two or three times each term.

 

As well as being great fun, these events help to bring parents and staff together socially in support of the school.

 

The PSA arranges regular events including the Summer Fete and Christmas Fair. Other events include: Quiz Nights, Summer Ball, Family Fireworks Party, Fashion Show, Circus and Spring Dance, to name but a few. Another event on our calendar is the Macmillan Coffee Morning.

 

We also support the School at Open Mornings, where we have a stand and are available to talk to prospective parents.

 

Funds are raised at some of the events in order to help the school to buy those ‘little extras’. Over recent years we have contributed towards a new minibus, additional whiteboards, whiteboard storage steps, a digital piano, a wood-burning stove for the Cookhouse, interactive white boards, etc.

 

The PSA is always looking for support from parents and there are many ways in which you can help. You can join our Committee - our AGM, including election of officers and committee members, takes place each September. You can become a Class Rep (see below), or perhaps just provide support 'as and when' by signing up to our Volunteer Register.

The Class Rep is very important to the PSA, as you are our link with the parents in your respective classes.

Each Year Group/Class has a parent representative referred to as the Class Rep.

The Class Rep is the main point of contact for PSA issues/events.

The Class Rep will welcome new parents into the class and may arrange a welcome coffee.

At Christmas and the end of the Summer Term, the Class Rep will usually arrange for a group of parents to take out the teacher for a 'thank you' meal.

The Class Rep will generally prepare a Class Contact List of the children, which is useful for other parents when arranging social events, birthday parties, etc.
