School Life

School Life

“An outstanding feature of the school is the very strong rapport and mutual respect between the teachers and their pupils.”

ISI Inspection February 2016

Here, we nurture the mind, body and soul. Kindness, mutual respect and strong moral codes create a lasting foundation for life and learning.

Part Of The Family:

Family values lie at the heart of the school, and staff maintain a close relationship with parents in order to get to know their pupils and bring out their best. Regular parents’ evenings offer a snapshot of your child’s progress; however, staff are always happy to talk in more detail outside these times. We understand that life isn’t always smooth sailing. Our compassionate staff are always available for children, or parents, if they need to talk to someone.

Wraparound Care:

Early drop-off, at no extra cost, is just one of the ways we can support your busy schedule. Also, with after school activities or Great Lates which run until 6.15pm, children can be enjoying themselves while you finish your working day or attend a late meeting. A light tea is provided for those children staying at school beyond 4.10pm. So, should any unforeseen circumstances arise, a simple phone call can ensure your child is kept safe and happy.

Outdoor Life:

The boys and girls at Barfield enjoy a very healthy balance of time spent indoors and outdoors and make good use of the 12 acres of beautiful grounds. As well as enjoying the play areas and sports pitches at breaktimes, the children take part in programmes purposefully designed to maximise their learning in the outdoor environment.

Barfield is characterised by the enduring qualities of warmth and friendliness.
