ISI Inspection "Excellent" In All Areas
Pupils make excellent progress thanks to excellent curricular and extra-curricular provision and teaching.

On Wednesday 4th December 2019 Our Under 10/11 group of boys travelled to The Royal School to take part in 2 x 7-a-side Football matches.
This week saw another of our wonderful Celebration Assemblies where we get to recognise and reward our children for a wealth of different achievements.
This week we held the Final of our Barfield Masterchef competition.
The U11 team finished the term with another very good win.

Over the past week, the Year 7 and 8 children have worked really hard to put this year's school disco together.
This week was the last qualifying round for Year 3 and the children put so much effort into their baking and decorating.
On Wednesday 20th November 2019 our group of Under 11 players travelled to Greenfield School, Woking to take part in their annual Football Tournament.
The corridors have been very quiet this week as the children in Years 3 to 8 have been taking their exams. Congratulations to all the pupils who have worked so hard. They have shown incredible maturity in their practise of effective revision strategies and in handling pressure.

Barfield Christmas Fayre 29th November
On Monday 11th November 2019 our group of Under 9 boys from Year 3 and 4 hosted Lanesborough School in 3 x 7-a-side Football matches here at Barfield during their games lesson. Each match was played for a duration of 30 minutes with some excellent effort observed from all taking part. The Under 9A team battled hard after conceding 3 goals early on in their game. However; they came back to equalise just before half time. In the second half they scored a further 2 goals to win their match 5 v 3.
In our U9B team match the opposition were able to take their chances well and at half time were leading 2 v 0. Our team continued to battle hard and managed to score a goal, but Lanesborough were able to continue taking their chances, scoring a further 3 goals to end up victors 5 v 1
In our Under 9C team match Barfield were able to dominate the game scoring 3 goals prior to the half time period. Another 3 goals were scored in the second half with Lanesborough gaining a consolation goal to finish the match 6 v 1

This week, Year 2 had so much fun creating a collection of captivating poems, fully-loaded with adjectives and onomatopoeia. As our poetry focus coincided with Bonfire Night, we decided to write poems using our senses to describe the fireworks. We hope you enjoy reading some wonderful examples.
